    How good is the content on your product display page? I think it’s safe to say that the majority of online shops sell products. Yes there are a few online retailers that sell services. Regardless, each product and service or whatever you are selling online needs it's own product display page. It's important to note, Google doesn't index sites it indexes pages.   • Building Websites

    My preferred application for building websites is Wordpress however I am also experienced using Drupal (not a fan). As I am front the old school I have built many a site from scratch using code; HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript.   • eCommerce Platforms

    I have been in the eCommerce space for 6 years now and I thoroughly enjoy it. At Telstra I was introduced to the Websphere eCommerce version 5 platform where I looked after all the products online. In my role as a Senior Producer I was able to do full end to end builds - scope campaigns, brief solution, wireframe, build and then report on the campaigns using analytics. Since my time at Telstra I have stayed in the eCommerce space taking a job at Sigma and working with the Websphere eCommerce v7 platform. One of the highlights of my role at Sigma was hacking a Websphere page template with HTML, CSS and javascript to create an interactive Pharmacy Services page.

    As an Ecommerce manager an important part of my role is reporting to senior management. Historically reporting to management was done by request. However, using Google Analytics I created dashboards for Horseland and Horse Shed Direct that went out to a mailing list daily. Including reports to the senior managers I have set up various dashboards in GA that report daily on sales and SEM keyword performance. Omniture is another great application that I have used to automate analytical reports. Along with the standard reporting I created dashboards to better understand the customer journey particularly leakage points (customer dropouts).
